Photograph the receipt and every item is read for you. Tap who had each one, share the starters, and tax and tip follow what each person ordered.
No account, no spreadsheet, no group-chat maths.
Type the names of the people at the table.
Take a flat, well-lit photo. The calculator reads each item and price into a list you can correct.
Tap names under each item, or All for shared plates. Tax, tip and discounts are split in proportion, and the payments appear instantly.
This page is perfect for settling one evening. When the costs keep coming, Slyce keeps the tally for everyone.

An even split is unfair when one person had a salad and another had steak and wine. Splitting by item fixes that: each person pays for what they ordered, plus their proportional share of tax, tip and any discount.
Scan a receipt and every line becomes an item with a price. Tap the people who had it. If three of you shared a pizza, tap all three and the price is divided between you. Choose All for things everyone shared, like bread for the table.
Extra charges are spread in proportion to what each person ordered. Someone whose items came to 40% of the food pays 40% of the tax and tip. Rounding cents always go to someone, so the totals add up to the last cent.
Use the Quick expense tab to enter the total and split it evenly, by shares or by exact amounts. See also how to split a receipt item by item and how to split a restaurant bill.
Add the people at the table, scan the receipt, then tap who had each item. Shared items are divided between the people you tap. Tax, tip and discounts are shared in proportion to what each person ordered, and the calculator lists who pays whom.
In proportion to each person's items, not equally. If your items are a third of the food total, you carry a third of the tax and tip.
You can correct any name or price before assigning it. If the photo is unreadable, your free scan is not used, so you can retake it.
For each person it adds up what they paid and what their share of every expense was. The difference is their balance. It then matches the person who owes the most with the person who is owed the most, again and again, so the group settles in as few payments as possible. It is the same method the Slyce app uses.
Yes. Under "For whom?" choose Evenly, Shares or Amounts. Shares lets one person count double (for example someone who ordered twice as much), and Amounts lets you type exactly what each person owes, as long as it adds up to the total.
Yes, once. Scan a receipt and the calculator reads every item for you, then you tap who had each one. Tax, tip and discounts are shared in proportion to what each person had. You get one free scan per visitor here; the Slyce app scans as many receipts as you like.
No. Everything you type stays in your browser. If you scan a receipt, the photo is read and discarded, never saved. A shared link carries the split inside the link itself, so only the people you send it to can see it.
The calculator works in one currency per calculation. If your group paid in several currencies, the Slyce app converts each expense at the daily rate and settles everyone in one currency.
The calculator is for a quick, one-off settle-up on this page. The app keeps the tally for the whole trip or flat, lets friends add their own expenses and claim their items from a link, shows each person's payment details, and tracks who has paid.
